Community Message 4-8-10: Middle States Commission
The Graduate Center is being evaluated for reaccreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The evaluation consists of two parts, a self-study and a review conducted by a team selected by Middle States. The Graduate Center completed its self-study last month and submitted its report to Middle States. The evaluation team (see list of members below) will visit the Graduate Center between April 11th and 14th for a series of meetings with members of the Graduate Center community to gather additional information for its own report to Middle States.
I’m pleased to invite you to three meetings with the evaluation team.
Monday, April 12th, 3:30–4:30 pm: An open forum in Room 8201.01.
Tuesday, April 13th, 2:00–3:00 pm: An open forum in Room 8201.01.
Wednesday, April 14th, 1:30–3:30 pm: The Middle States team’s presentation of their findings in the Segal Theatre.
At the meeting on Wednesday, Dr. Charles Caramello, chair of the Middle States team, will present findings from the team’s evaluation of the Graduate Center. There will be no opportunity for questions.
I encourage you to attend these events and thank you for your participation in the Graduate Center’s reaccreditation process.
