Email Phishing Attempts Continue to Plague the GC
Be ever diligent about email "phishing" attempts! We (GC IT) will never ask users to supply a username and password via an email message. Such scams troll for your username and password to be used in malicious ways.
Scammers send out emails that appear to be from legitimate sources e.g. GC email accounts and email accounts of people you’re familiar with, banks/financial institutions that you regularly deal with, companies with official-looking logs, etc. Avoid clicking on any web links that may be included within a phishing email.
