The Payroll Office is responsible for processing payroll transactions for all employees appointed to the New York State payroll system (Payserv). In addition to processing employees’ paychecks, the Payroll Office is responsible for maintaining employee’s salary history which is used in determining employee’s retirement benefits.
The Payroll Office was the recipient of the following awards from the Bureau of State Payroll Services, Office of the State Comptroller:
- Direct Deposit Enrollment Comptroller Challenge Award for Outstanding Performance (2005)
- New York State Comptroller’s Payroll Achievement Gold Star Award (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009)
