Description

The Office of Communications and Marketing is seeking a part-time College Assistant to assist the office with web content management. The selected candidate will serve as a front line representative of the Web Content/Design team, interacting with staff from GC offices, programs, centers, and institutes, to update and maintain web content and resolve web-related issues. The position reports to the Web Content Manager.
 
Responsibilities:

-Handle web content updates, including posting press releases and news items, updating the home page and other webpages.
-Review web content for accuracy and relevance.
-Assist users with the content management system, including training.
-Migration of existing web content to the GC site.
-Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
-High school diploma;
 
Preferred Qualifications:
-Some college strongly preferred.
-Basic computer knowledge and/or experience; experience working with HTML; understanding of CSS.
-Familiarity working with a Content Management System.
-Strong writing and editing skills.
-Ability to work independently as well as a member of a project team; customer service experience a plus.
-Ability to adhere to established schedules and meet critical deadlines.
-Good planning and organizational skills; attention to detail.
-Effective communication skills; proficiency with the English language.
-Flexibility in scheduling is preferred as work may fluctuate.

Salary Range

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour

20 hours per week
