Looking back at a time when a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict seemed possible, Sari Nusseibeh, the philosopher and onetime PLO representative in Jerusalem, sits down with Dan Ephron, biographer of Yitzhak Rabin. Nusseibeh, author of the memoir Once Upon a Country: A Palestinian Life, and Ephron, author of Killing a King: The Assassination of Yitzhak Rabin and the Remaking of Israel, speak with Kai Bird, newly appointed executive director of the Leon Levy Center for Biography and author of Crossing Mandelbaum Gate: Coming of Age Between the Arabs & Israelis.
