Description

An offshoot of the salsa band Bio Ritmo, Miramar revives the Puerto Rican bolero tradition, evoking after-hour shows in Old San Juan. Their debut album is a tribute to Sylvia Rexach, a maverick composer of the ’40s and ’50s. Miramar features pianist Marlysse Simmons and vocalist Rei Alvarez, who sings duets with Laura Ann Singh of Quatro Na Bossa. They will be joined by a string section.
