Dr. Bard Ermentrout (University of Pittsburgh), If space turned out to be time: Resonances and patterns in the visual cortex. (10:00 am to 12:00 pm for background metrical and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm for technical matters) 

"Dynamical Systems: Ideas in Applications" brings together top minds whose work both spans and brings together the fields of neuroscience, mathematics, physics, biology and economics.These interdisciplinary lectures
will take place throughout the current Spring semester and are intended to incubate a culture of collaboration among researchers in distinct but increasingly interconnected fields with the goal of enhancing the potential for groundbreaking research at The Graduate Center.
