Ann Adjie Shirley-Henderson, associate provost and dean for the sciences at the Graduate Center, is a professor of biological sciences at Hunter College and a member of the GC doctoral faculty in biochemistry and biology. She is a recipient of the Yasuda International Award for Research and the Leukemia Society of America Scholar Award. She has authored several hundred publications on genetics, cell regulation, and environmental hazards. Henderson received her Ph.D. in genetics and molecular biology from the University of North Carolina.
