Description

Interdisciplinary roundtable discussion featuring Victoria Pitts-Taylor (Sociology), Jason Tougaw (English), Patricia Ticineto-Clough (Sociology, Women's Studies), Samir Chopra (Philosophy), and Gerhard Joseph (English). Faculty will discuss the "mind-body problem" in terms of recent theoretical questions in their field, in their work, or in work by students. Issues discussed may include affect, cognition, embodiment, the role of neuroscience, artificial intelligence, consciousness, body manipulation, and mind-body extension.
