Given the interest in NoSQL databases and the fast and disruptive change in the enterprise database space, graduate and under graduate students in the Computer Science programs will benefit greatly by understanding the key concepts in NoSQL database technologies.

This lecture will talk about Key Value and Document NoSQL databases stores, including the limitations of relational databases and how nosql solves these problems using internal sharding, replication, and storage and cluster management. In addition this lecture will talk about the concepts of document modeling, indexing unstructured data, distributed indexing and incremental Map Reduce.
