Former President of the Federal Republic of Brazil and world-renowned sociologist and scholar, Fernando Henrique Cardoso, will receive an honorary doctorate from the City University of New York's Graduate Center at a ceremony to be held Friday, October 29. Cardoso will also deliver a lecture at the presentation ceremony and reception, which begins at 6 p.m. The Graduate Center is located at 365 Fifth Avenue (at 34th Street).
