William Cabin (Public Health) will present three papers in August: “What’s Care Got to Do with It? The Association between Proprietary Ownership and Medicare Home Health Quality of Care” and “New Research on Youth, Aging, and the Life Course ” at the Society for the Study of Social Problems annual meeting; and “Does Ownership Status Affect Quality in Home Care? Exploring the Unexplored” at the American Sociological Association annual meeting.
Alka Dev (Public Health) received a three-year fellowship in demography offered by the CUNY Institute for Demographic Research (CIDR) starting fall 2012.
Lauren Dinour (Public Health) won a Graduate Center Doctoral Student Research Grant.
Elizabeth Fuentes (Public Health) won a 2011 Annual Hispanic Health Professional Student Scholarship.
Sonia K. Gonzalez (Public Health) and Allan Uribe (Public Health) presented “Early Findings: Urban Young Women of Color Are Weary of Social and Mobile Media” at the fifth annual ISIS Conference on New Media, Youth, and Sexual Health (Sex Tech) in March 2012.
Sonia Gonzalez (Public Health) won a 2011 Annual Hispanic Health Professional Student Scholarship.
Amy Kwan (Public Health) won a 2012 Globalization, Health, and Social Justice Fellowship sponsored by the GC’s DPH and DNS programs, as well as a Graduate Center Doctoral Student Research Grant, and she coauthored, with D.
