Singers Invited to Gather at The Graduate Center to Honor
President John F. Kennedy on the 40th Anniversary of His Death
On Saturday, November 22 at 2:30 p.m., soloists from the Metropolitan and New York City Operas, along with singers from around the city, will gather at the CUNY Graduate Center to sing Mozart’s Requiem K. 626 in remembrance of the 40th anniversary of the death of President John F. Kennedy. Featured soloists include Frances Ginsberg (Soprano), Alison Tupay (Mezzo Soprano), Matthew Garrett (Tenor), and Matthew Burns (Bass). All New York City singers are invited to participate. (Singers must bring their own score). Judith Clurman, founder and director of the celebrated New York Concert Singers and Director of Choral Activities at The Juilliard School will conduct. New York State Senator Liz Krueger will introduce the event. Admission is free.
