Lesley Davenport
Position: Professor
Campus Affiliation: Brooklyn College
Degrees/Diplomas: Ph.D., University of Salford (United Kingdom)
Research Interests: Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry

Areas of Expertise:

Professor Davenport's research in the laboratory focuses on studies of molecular interactions and fast conformational dynamics of large biomolecules. The lab uses state-of-the-art fluorescence spectroscopic methods. Funded through the Brooklyn College NIH-Score grant, they are currently using sensitive fluorescence methodologies to investigate the folding and stability of quadruplexed DNA found at the telomeric ends of chromosomes as an approach to designing better potential chemotherapeutics.
