Description

Professor Gasché has played a pivotal role in facilitating the reception of deconstruction and related schools of philosophical criticism in North America. He is the author of The Tain of the Mirror: Derrida and the Philosophy of Reflection (Harvard UP, 1986), Inventions of Difference: On the Work of Jacques Derrida (Harvard UP, 1994), The Wild Card of Reading: On Paul de Man (Harvard UP, 1998), as well as numerous other works.  Following the talk, there will be a reception along with refreshments.   Rodolphe Gasché is the Eugenio Donato Professor of Comparative Literature, SUNY Buffalo.
