Charles Robert Simard received his doctorate from the University of Montréal. He is an active contributor to the art world as well as to Comparative Literature and French Studies. His publications include a book entitled Littérature, analyse et forme. Herbert, Tolkien, Borges, Eco : une architecture intertextuelle et transtextuelle (Paris, Éditions Universitaires Européennes / Saarbrücken, Südwestdeutscher Verlag für Hochschulschriften, 2010), and the articles « La théorisation du texte.
