The Ph.D. Program in French welcomes Prof. Erec Koch

The program is happy to announce that Prof. Erec Koch has joined the faculty of the Ph.D. Program in French.Prof. Koch's interests include French literature and culture of the seventeenth-century, early modern philosophy, and history of science and of medicine. Prof. Koch is the author of the influential book entitled The Aesthetic Body: Sensibility, Passion and Corporeality in Seventeeth-Century France (2008). He has published numerous essays, articles, and book chapters on Pierre Corneille, Rene Descartes, Pierre Nicole, Blaise Pascal, and Jean Racine, among others.
