Mathematics Ph.D. Candidates Win Prestigious Postdocs

Joseph Hirsh, a doctoral candidate in mathematics, received an NSF postdoc at MIT. He will be working with Clark Barwick on the relationship between deformation theory and algebraic K-theory, starting June 1, 2013.

Sajjad Lakzian, a doctoral candidate in mathematics, received a one-semester postdoc at MSRI and a two-year postdoc at Hausdorff Center for Mathematics in Bonn with a possibility to extend for a third year.
