Dov Waxman
Position: Deputy Executive Officer of the Ph.D./M.A. Program in Political Science and an associate professor of political science at Baruch College

Degrees/Diplomas: Ph.D. in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies, where he also received an M.A. in International Relations and International Economics, B.A. degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University
Research Interests: International Relations and Middle East politics, especially concerning Israel and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict

From 2002-2004, Prof. Waxman was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Government at Bowdoin College. He has also been a visiting fellow at the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies at Bar-Ilan University in Israel, a visiting scholar at the Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey, and a visiting fellow at the Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies at Tel Aviv University, Israel. He is the author of The Pursuit of Peace and the Crisis of Israeli Identity: Defending / Defining the Nation (Palgrave Macmillan, 2006). He has published numerous scholarly and popular articles, reviews, and book chapters. He is the Associate Editor of Israel Studies Forum: An Interdisciplinary Journal, and he serves on the Board of Directors of the Association for Israel Studies.
