Leanne Rivlin was an original founder of the Environmental Psychology Doctoral Program at the CUNY Graduate Center in the late 1960s. Her research interests include the psychological impact of becoming homeless, life of public spaces, everyday practices of community making; research ethics and to address the practical, political, and ethical concerns raised by environmental social science field research; sociospatial conflict at all scales. She was the 2004-2005 Division 34 President.
