Doctor of Public Health (DPH) program faculty member Franklin E. Mirer, Ph.D., CIH (Prof., Hunter, Public Health) is the 2012 recipient of the Donald E. Cummings Award at the annual American Industrial Hygiene Conference and Exposition (AIHce), the premier conference and exposition for occupational and environmental health and safety professionals. This award was established in 1943 as a tribute to Donald E. Cummings, AIHA’s third president. It is given for outstanding contributions to the knowledge and practice of industrial hygiene. As part of the celebration, Dr. Mirer presented the award lecture “All Dressed Up—But Where Are We Going?”
