Course description:
This course is designed to further understand how children in different language contexts acquire language skills. A richer understanding of language learning can be gained by exploring patterns of language acquisition in non-English learning children as well as children who are exposed to two languages simultaneously. By surveying the various linguistic and cognitive proposals with respect to language learning, the student will be introduced to acquisition of different language systems.
