GC Psychology Student Receives Award from La Caixa Foundation
Clara Vila-Castelar, a student in the Graduate Center’s Ph.D. Program in Psychology, in the clinical psychology training program at Queens College, was awarded a grant from La Caixa Foundation in her native Spain. The grant will support Vila-Castelar, who studies neuropsychology, as she pursues her research in the field of aging and Alzheimer’s disease. Beginning in fall 2014, Vila-Castelar will receive two full years of paid tuition, as well as a monthly stipend to cover living expenses. The La Caixa grant will be awarded to Vila-Castelar in Madrid by King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia.
