An Unicum Among Renaissance Conduct Manuals: Annibal Guasco’s Discourse to Lady Lavina, His Daughter (1586) with ALEXANDRA COLLER, Languages and Literatures, Lehman College, CUNY.

ALEXANDRA COLLER is Assistant Professor of Languages and Literatures, Lehman College/CUNY. Dr. Coller has published articles on women and drama in the sixteenth-century, early opera, and Renaissance books of conduct. An essay on Italian Renaissance tragedy is forthcoming and she is currently working on her book Women, Rhetoric, and Drama in Early Modern Italy. Two critical, annotated, bilingual editions on two recently rediscovered Italian early seventeenth-century female-authored pastoral dramas have been accepted for publication for the Other Voice in Early Modern Europe Series (Toronto).
