Description

"Narratives of Black Interiority: Every Day Lives in the U.S. Capital 1919 - 1942."

Paula Austin
Ph.D. Program in History

Students are invited to present chapters or other significant portions from their dissertations and theses. We also encourage students to pre-circulate work to participants in the discussion group. All Graduate Center students are encouraged to take part. The topic can be on any subject related to the African Diaspora. The time allotment is two hours.  Most presenters speak for 40-60 minutes and then the floor is opened to Q&A and/or comments. In most cases there will also be a faculty discussant.
