An Interdisciplinary Symposium on Niccolò Machiavelli.
Celebrating the 500th anniversary of the composition of Machiavelli's best known treatise, the symposium will feature talks by eminent scholars from institutions such as Columbia University, CUNY Graduate Center, New York University and SUNY Stony Brook.
Speakers include: Andrea Fedi (SUNY Stony Brook), JoAnn Cavallo (Columbia University), Stefano Albertini (Casa Italiana, NYU), Jonathan Soffer (NYU Poly), Paul Oppenheimer (City College and the Graduate Center).
The event is sponsored by the Italian Specialization in the Department of Comparative Literature at the Graduate Center, CUNY, the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Hunter College, the Thomas Hunter Honors Program, and generously supported by the Sonia Raiziss Giop Foundation.
