Raquel Chang-Rodríguez, Distinguished Professor, will interview Marie Arana on Bolívar: American Liberator, her acclaimed biography of Simón Bolívar, the South American revolutionary revered for freeing six countries from colonial Spanish rule. Arana's memoir American Chica was a finalist for the National Book Award; she has written two novels and edited The Writing Life, essays from The Washington Post Book World. Co-sponsored by Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian Literatures and Languages.
