Join us for a celebration of a new book of poems by Meena Alexander, with panel discussion on poetic process, cultural translation, and aesthetic collaboration.  

MEENA ALEXANDER is an award winning author and scholar, and Distinguished Professor of English at Hunter College and The Graduate Center. Her volumes of poetry include Illiterate Heart (winner of the 2002 PEN Open Book Award), Raw Silk (2004) and Quickly Changing River (2008). Alexander is also author of Poetics of Dislocation (2009), the academic study Women in Romanticism (1989), and the acclaimed autobiography, Fault Lines (2003).
