Description

In 2011, the Classic Stage Company presented Unnatural Acts, a play conceived and directed by Tony Speciale in collaboration with a research and writing team. CLAGS will present a special one-night only reading of the revised play, and will include actors from the original Off-Broadway company and a talkback with writers and researchers discussing the process of putting 1920s history on stage as well as the ongoing struggles facing LGBT students on college campuses today. The CSC original press release described the play as a "theatrical retelling of a true story," focusing on how Harvard University’s administration set up a secret court to determine what was taking place in Perkins Hall, Room 28. "Behind those doors, eleven young men discover themselves, their sexuality and an implacable intolerance that will forever alter their lives.”
