Since Fidel Castro's resignation in February, the future of Cuba has become a significant element of the public discourse. In March, a four-day conference on "A Changing Cuba in a Changing World," organized by the Graduate Center's Bildner Center for Western Hemisphere Studies, shed considerable light on the subject. Topics included U.S./Cuba relations, and Cuba's contemporary art, literature, filmmaking, and music; religion and politics; health care; and economics. Pictured above is a panel discussion on "A Changing Cuba and the U.S. Media: Getting in and Getting it Right."
