Check the deadlines for the term to which you are applying and the admission requirements for the program of interest. Please note that admission requirements and documents vary for individual programs.

Create a new account by clicking "First time user account creation." You will be asked to create a Login ID and six digit Personal Identification Number.

Select your application type, either doctoral or masters. Keep in mind that The Graduate Center only offers a limited number of Masters degree programs. Please check the Application Deadline Chart to determine if the program you are interested in is available at The Graduate Center.

Select term for which you are applying and fill in your first and last name.

Next you will be brought to a Checklist page. Click on a section name to access that area of the web application. Fill out each section completely. When you have completed a section, a red checkmark will appear by its name. When all sections have been completed, a checkmark will be displayed next to each section's name (as indicated to the right). At that point, you will need to press the "Application is Complete" button in order to submit your application form data.

To complete your application, print the signature page. If you are unable to print the signature page you can print this duplicate copy. Sign the page at the certifying statement. In one envelope, please send all official documents in their original sealed envelope. Check your Application Deadline Chart for information regarding any additional materials needed.

Application Fee Payment. The Graduate Center has a nonrefundable $125 application fee. No action will be taken on your application until payment is received.Your application will not be considered complete until we have received transcripts, standardized test scores, letters of recommendation, application fee payment, signature page and any other materials requested by the specific department.

International applicants

Did you enter your email address?
