Conference and Meeting Facilities

Are you looking for space for a meeting or conference, a simple celebratory meal or a gala fund-raising event, a book party or a product launch?

Come to The Graduate Center, CUNY, which offers a range of beautiful, comfortable, flexible spaces and modern facilities for a great price in the heart of Manhattan.

Three theaters with seating for 70 to 400 patrons

Two conference suites
The rooms may be combined to serve the varying needs of seated meetings, standing receptions, or walk-around displays.

Catering
Should you need full-service catering for your event, excellent food ranging from a simple breakfast bar, to a buffet lunch, to formal dinner service, can be prepared on site by Restaurant Associates, one of New York City's premiere caterers. A full selection of beverages is available for your dinner or reception.

Audio-Visual Services and Other Services
Our audio-visual services can accommodate almost any equipment request. Each facility will be designed with flexible banquet, classroom, theatre, or conference-style seating to meet your expectations. Our staff of experienced specialists is ready to assist you in planning a successful event.

ADA Compliance
The building has been designed to meet all federal, state, and city codes, and specific attention has been given to provide full physical access to all academic, administrative, and public areas.

The Graduate Center is located at Fifth Avenue and 34th Street across from the Empire State Building, and is convenient to all major transportation routes. Grand Central Terminal, Pennsylvania Station, the midtown PATH, and all major New York City subway and bus lines are within easy walking distance. The Graduate Center, CUNY

The Graduate Center was founded in 1961 as the doctorate-granting institution of The City University of New York, the nation's largest urban university system. Here, 3,500 students and 1,600 faculty scholars, drawn from throughout the CUNY system and New York City's leading cultural and scientific institutions, join in the shared enterprises of teaching, learning, researching, and expanding the boundaries of knowledge. In this environment of intellectual discovery and exchange, 31 doctoral programs in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences are augmented by 28 research centers and institutes focused on areas of compelling social, civic, cultural, and scientific concerns. The National Research Council's most recent assessment placed more than a third of the school's rated doctoral programs among the nation's top 20. The Graduate Center also administers the CUNY Baccalaureate Program, and offers a wide range of continuing education and cultural programs of interest to the general public.
