Graduate Research Grants Program
GC Doctoral Students who will be in their second to seventh
years (during academic year 2008-09) are eligible to apply
for research awards for up to $1,500.00. Graduate students
who have been awarded the Doctoral Student Research Grants
during the current academic year (2007-2008) are not eligible
until the 2009-10 academic year. To be eligible in 2009-10,
the students awarded grants in 2007-08 must also satisfy
the condition that they are in their seventh year or less.

Pamela S. Galiber Memorial Award for an Outstanding African-American Student
For doctoral research in social, cultural, or economic issues.
Preference given to those who have advanced to candidacy.

J. Bruce Llewellyn Two-Year Fellowships
For African-American Doctoral Students in Science, Mathematics,
Engineering, and Technology who are entering or eligible
continuing students.

Deadline: February 1 for continuing students.
USA Funds Access to Education Scholarship
For students who are citizens or legal residents with adjusted
gross family income of $35,000 or less.

National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship
Program
For students in the social, natural, and hard sciences. Information

Fellowships

U.S. Dept. of Education Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation
Research Abroad (DDRA) Program
Grants for dissertation research abroad, excluding western

Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans
For students who have spent no more than two years in a graduate
program, are not more than 30 years of age, and who have
status as a “New American” (holder of a green
card, naturalized citizen, or child of two naturalized parents).

New York State Senate Graduate/Post-Graduate/Mid-Career
Fellowships
Graduate students of various disciplines, who are interested
in public service careers, are eligible to apply for the
Legislative Fellows Program (formerly called internships)
in Albany for September of 2007 thru mid-July of 2008.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
