College Assistant/Faculty Development and Instructional Technology Assistant

The CUNY School of Professional Studies (SPS) offers innovative undergraduate and graduate level courses, certificates and degree programs, including CUNY's first online degree programs. Drawing on CUNY's nationally and internationally renowned faculty and practitioners, SPS offers programs in a wide range of disciplines, including Masters programs in Applied Theatre, Labor Studies and Disability Studies. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Faculty Development Director, the College Assistant will:
-Assist with the registration processes and handle communications for faculty development activities
-Prepare and maintain accurate records, files and data on faculty development activities
-Assist with creation of evaluation surveys and retrieving, collating and maintaining data
-Assist with scheduling and coordination of staff projects
-Assist with the coordination, logistical planning, scheduling of meetings and events
-Serve as resource for inquiries
-Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications
-High school diploma
Preferred Qualifications
 -A Bachelor’s degree preferred.
-Two years of related administrative experience preferred.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and comfortable with technology.
-Organizational and analytic skills, attention to detail and accuracy, ability to follow established processes or to devise innovative approaches as needed.
-Strong writing and editing skills.
-Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
-Able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
-Able to carry out complex assignments and adapt to changing priorities.
-Good interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively and appropriately with all levels of faculty, staff, and administration.

Salary Range

$15.00 – $18.00/hour (Commensurate with experience)


20 hours per week
