President Robinson Discusses New Book in Radio Interview

President Chase F. Robinson appeared on Cumulus radio to discuss how current events link to themes presented in his new book, Islamic Civilisation in Thirty Lives: The First 1,000 Years (University of California Press, 2016).
“I think we in North America, the United States in particular, suffer from an understandable ignorance [about Islam], but a regrettable one all the same,” said President Robinson, a leading historian of early Islam, in an interview with KFRU.

He also appeared in a recent Business Insider video to discuss misconceptions about Muslims, and also on WNYC to discuss the executive order on immigration.
President Robinson, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, is the author or editor of eight books and more than 40 articles.
