Dr. Krystal Perkins
gained her PhD in Social/Personality Psychology at the Graduate Center, City University of New York. Her research considers the ways in which members of non-dominant groups in society (women, minorities, immigrants, etc.) form, manage, and negotiate their identity in relation to other groups (dominant groups, Americans, immigrants, etc.). Her research also considers how members of more advantaged groups think about, recognize, and respond to changes in the racial/ethnic, economic, and social landscape. She is currently a assistant professor in Psychology at the State University of New York at Purchase College.
