Michael J. Goldstein is a partner at Goldstein and Cheung LLP. Admitted to the New York state bar in 2010, Mr. Goldstein practices general immigration law, with a focus on EB1, EB2, academic institutions, extraordinary and professional nonimmigrant, and family and business immigrant petitions.  He is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and NAFSA-Association of International Educators, among other organizations.  Mr. Goldstein was selected to the 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, and 2016 Super Lawyers New York Metro Rising Stars list in the practice area of immigration.*  Mr. Goldstein was the Core Education Program Dean for the "Filing Academic H-1B Petition" Workshop at NAFSA.  He has been a NAFSA Trainer Corps member since 2015, delivering NAFSA Core Education Program at meetings and conferences throughout the year. Mr. Goldstein also participates actively in the AILA New York Chapter Media/Advocacy Committee and consults on international students/scholars’ issues at International Education Training Services. Mr. Goldstein is a frequent presenter on immigration law topics at professional conferences including NAFSA’s regional conferences and state meetings, as well as at college and university campuses throughout the NY Metropolitan area.
