Hailing from the republic of Georgia, this group of nine young vocalists is acclaimed for its collective approach, superior improvisational skills, and a fresh and lively repertoire. Adilei's main passion lies in music from Guria in western Georgia, home to a complex and colorful form of polyphonic singing and yodels. This concert features wild yodeling by Lasha Bedenashvili (“the beast”), as well as the underrepresented women’s voice with the Chamgeliani Sisters, who sing beautifully haunting music from Svaneti, a mountainous region in the northwest.
