With the incredible image of a black hole produced by the Event Horizon Telescope and advanced detection of gravitational waves, we are now observing black holes almost directly. But they remain one of the universe’s great mysteries. Three leaders in black hole research from CUNY discuss the latest developments in the field. Featuring: Saavik Ford, an astrophysicist at Borough of Manhattan Community College and the American Museum of Natural History (AMNH); Dan Kabat, a theoretical physicist at Lehman College; and Matt O’Dowd, an astrophysicist at Lehman College and AMNH and host of PBS Space Time.
