Please join us for this dialogue with the Kichwa youth collective, Runas in Resistance. Runas in Resistance is a transnational collective (US & Canada) that was born out of the indigenous uprisings in Ecuador this past October. Since October, the collective has kept the public informed of the situation on the ground, started a fundraising campaign, and organized solidarity actions in their communities.
In this event, we will talk to members of the collective about their work and the current situation in Ecuador. We will also exhibit some photographs taken by RnR member and Kichwa photographer, Eli Farinango, who documented the uprising in Ecuador. The conversation will be moderated by Victoria Stone-Cadena, Ph.D., Associate Director of the Center for Latin American Caribbean & Latino Studies at The Graduate Center, CUNY.
Cosponsored with Runas in Resistance and Kichwa Hatari
