In August Bencivenni contributed “The Italian Immigrant Working Class Experience in the United States [doi.org]," to the online Oxford Research Encyclopedia of American History (https://oxfordre.com/americanhistory/view/10.1093/acrefore/9780199329175.001.0001/acrefore-9780199329175-e-685 [oxfordre.com]).
Later this year, the University of Toronto Press will publish a study of Cold War counterintelligence featuring Bencivenni’s chapter titled “American Communism, Anti-communism, and the Cold War: The Case of Carl Marzani, 1947–51.”
Bencivenni, Professor of History at Hostos Community College, was an ARC Distinguished Fellow. She has been awarded a "Tiro A Segno" Fellowship in Italian-American Studies at New York University for Fall 2020.
