How should I begin using CUNYfirst?
1. Claim your CUNYfirst account, if you are a new user
Learn how to access CUNYfirst and claim your account.
2. Check your personal information for accuracy.
Your name, address and contact information can be viewed and managed in HR/Campus Solutions, under "Self Service".

What information and services are available to me in CUNYfirst?
Depending on your role at the GC, you will find a variety of online systems and services which may be essential to completing some or all of your job functions. These services include purchasing and budget management, HR activities, Admissions and Financial Aid processing, and more. We recommend that you speak with your supervisor to learn more about how CUNYfirst may fit in to you daily life at the GC.
If you are also a student or faculty member at the GC, you will have additional services available to you. Please view the Student and Faculty guides for more information.
Data and Reports
If you previously used the reprting feature in Banner or Argos to extract and review student, faculty, academic or administrative data, you will now need to use queries in CUNYfirst. The Registrar has created a number of queries for EOs, APOs and staff to use. However, be advised that many queries are still under development, and it may not be possible to replicate all Banner reports in CUNYfirst.
How can I request CUNYfirst access for employees I supervise?
In order to receive access to an area within CUNYfirst, the appropriate CUNYfirst security access form must be completed and signed by a CUNYfirst security access approver. CUNYfirst Security Access forms may be found here, and the list of CUNYfirst Security Access approvers can be found here. (Note that this list includes contacts from all CUNY campuses. Please scroll down to find the lists of approvers for the Graduate Center and the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY.)
Once the form has been filled out and signed by your business unit’s CUNYfirst Security Access approver, the approver may submit the completed form via the CUNYfirst support e-mail address, GraduateCenter.CUNYfirst@mail.cuny.edu. Only security access approvers can submit the completed form. You will be notified when the requested access has been granted.
