Economics Program Co-Sponsors INET Young Scholars Workshop on 2/24

The Graduate Center’s Ph.D. Program in Economics is co-sponsoring a Young Scholars Initiative (YSI) Workshop organized by the Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET), a think tank founded by investor and philanthropist George Soros. The event, YSI Workshop NYC, will begin at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24.
Designed for Ph.D. students and young scholars, the workshop consists of mini-courses covering topics and methods that are sometimes overlooked in traditional economics programs.

Participants can choose one of two courses: The Monetary Circuit, the Solvency Rule, and the Modern Financialization Era; or Model Complexity and Model Selection in Time Series Econometrics.
The Graduate Center will host the event on February 25 and February 26, as well as an evening session on February 24. Read more about the workshop, including registration details.
