Industrial and Organizational Psychology Ph.D. Program Named A Top 10

The industrial and organizational training program of The Graduate Center’s Ph.D. Program in Psychology, offered in conjunction with Baruch College, has just been named one of the 10 best in the nation by Organizational Psychology Degrees.
 
For its ranking, the organization evaluated programs that offer a “well-rounded curriculum” that prepares graduates for a variety of careers. Other ranking criteria include tuition rate and student-to-faculty ratios. The Graduate Center’s program was ranked 8th among programs nationwide, 5th among public institutions on the list, and 2nd — just behind Columbia University — among programs in New York City.
 
The Ph.D. program at The Graduate Center and Baruch College prepares students for careers in academic, policy, corporate, and consulting settings. A heavy emphasis is placed on honing students’ research and analytical abilities as well as their expertise in the field.
 
The program’s faculty is widely recognized for its accomplishment and contributions to the field; both professors and students have won major awards. Graduates hold positions in Fortune 500 companies, including JP Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Facebook, and Amazon, as well as government agencies and the nation’s top consulting firms.
