What Climate Change Means for An Aging Population

Alumnus Mitchell Alan Kaplan (Ph.D. ’87, Sociology), contributed a chapter, “The Social Effects of Climate Change on the Health Outcomes of Vulnerable Older Adult Populations,” to the Handbook of Research on Economic and Social Impacts of Population Aging.

The first chapter in the book, it examines the challenges that climate change poses to an aging population and how the federal government and the public health system can address the problems.
