Alumnus Book: Judith Halasz

The Bohemian EthosJudith Halasz (Ph.D. 2007, Sociology) published her book, The Bohemian Ethos. From the 19th-century harbingers on Paris’s Left Bank to the more recent bohemian outcroppings on New York’s Lower East Side, The Bohemian Ethos traces the embodiment of a politically charged yet increasingly precarious form of cultural resistance.

Judith Halasz is an associate professor of sociology at the State University of New York at New Paltz.
