Robert Hatcher Receives APA Award for Applications of Psychology to Education

Professor Robert Hatcher (City College, Psychology), who serves as director of the Wellness Center at the GC, was recently named winner of the 2015 Distinguished Applications of Psychology to Education and Training Award, bestowed by the American Psychological Association.  
The honor, which includes a citation and cash award, recognizes psychologists for evidence-based applications of psychology to education.
An APA Fellow and president emeritus of the Association of Psychology Training Clinics, Hatcher is an associate editor of Training and Education in Professional Psychology (TEPP), and on the editorial boards of the Journal of Counseling Psychology, Psychotherapy Research, and Psychotherapy. His research interests include the therapeutic alliance, interpersonal measurement, practicum, and professional competencies.
The award will be presented at the 2015 at the APA Convention in Toronto this summer.
