"The Impact of Women's Issues in International Politics" with Rachel Vogelstein

While March 8th is celebrated as International Women's Day, international women’s rights is still an area in need of much greater attention. How did we get here, and what can we expect for the future of women’s issues in the international arena?  What is the role of women’s issues in discussions of global politics and in U.S. foreign policy?

Rachel Vogelstein, the Douglas Dillon Senior Fellow and director of the Women and Foreign Policy Program at the Council on Foreign Relations, as well as Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University, discusses the history and current state of women’s issues in international development and what we can expect in the future, especially how they will be addressed by the Biden administration. In conversation with Ellen Chesler, Visiting Research Scholar, at the Ralph Bunche Institute for International Studies.
