So over the next decade [Mexicans] will become the majority Hispanic minority in the largest U.S. city, according to the study "Demographic changes, economic and social aspects of Mexican origin population in the metropolitan area of NY." The research is the work of the team led by Professor Laird Bergad, director and founder of the Centre for Research on Latin America, the Caribbean and Latinos in the U.S. the Graduate Center of New York (CUNY).
