Press Release: Great Music for a Great City Celebrates French-American Friendship

The CUNY Graduate Center's "Great Music for a Great City" concert series (Caroline Stoessinger, Artistic Director) presents a "Salute to France," celebrating French-American Friendship with a free concert on Bastille Day eve.

When: Wednesday, July 13, 6:30 pm

Who: Performers: The Shanghai String Quartet plus Camellia Johnson, Soprano

Program: The Shanghai String Quartet will feature the Ravel Quartet in G Major and Beethoven's Opus 18 #6 (Beethoven was profoundly influenced by the French Revolution). Camellia Johnson will sing selected songs by Duparc and Debussy

Where: The Graduate Center is located at 365 Fifth Avenue at 34th Street.
